Sr. Dorothy Stang drama — 2 p.m. Feb. 2 at Most Holy Trinity Parish (map) and 2 p.m. Feb. 3 at St. Steven Parish in Sun Lakes (map). Sr. Nancy Murray, sister of comedian Bull Murray, writes and performs this one-woman show about “the earthy aunt” who helped open Phoenix’s Most Holy Trinity School nearly 60 years ago before continuing work elsewhere including the Amazon forest where she was martyred. St. Charbel Makhlouf film — 6 p.m. Feb. 2 at AMC Theaters Arizona Center (map). St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church in Phoenix is hosting a screening of the life and miracles of St. Charbel, a Lebanese incorruptible saint and light of the East who did thousands of miracles after a miraculous bright light came from his tomb for 45 nights. Super bowl — Feb. 3. Some local parishes, including St. Andrew the Apostle in Chandler and St. Timothy in Mesa, will participate in the related Souper Bowl of Caring by collecting cash and canned goods for local food banks. Matt Swaim, host of “The Son Rise Morning Show,” compiled this list of Catholic angles to the Super Bowl.

Parish opens — 10 a.m. Feb. 2 at San Francisco de Asís Parish in Flagstaff (map). The multi-year capital campaign to put all parish activities on one property starts to become a reality as the new church building opens.

Parish moves — 5 p.m. Feb.1 at St. Henry Parish in Buckeye. Join Fr. Billy Kosco and parishioners for a eucharistic procession from Youngker High School (on Lower buckeye Road east of Miller Road) to its new location nearby. Midnight Mass to follow. School anniversary — 6:30-11 p.m. Feb. 1 at Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park. Fundraiser dinner benefiting the school and honoring Holy Cross Father Joe Corpora, who founded the school 20 years ago. Details.
