This is what I found from Catholic News Service: “Only cardinals under the age of 80 can vote in the conclave; older cardinals do not enter the Sistine Chapel. The article mentions that several of the candidates have never been a dioceasn bishop. Are there other pre-requisites? Can a Bishop or Archbishop be elected?
