The problem is that Catholic Americans have no esteem problems. We think 20% of Catholics going to Mass is great! Now I like the Cardinal. I would love to have a glass of wine or a beer with him like our president did recently. Dolan has great credentials but does Christ’s Church really need another ‘have a holly jolly’ bureaucrat?

“Cardinal Dolan is effectively the leader of that resistance which he has waged with characteristic good humor.” I repeat, I love Dolan, I think Cardinal Dolan is a good and decent man but he’s not a warrior, and he’s not a martyr! In the state of New York a man can legally marry another man! The “Catholic” NY governor will abort anything and anybody all on Dolan’s watch! How can he live with himself? It breaks my heart to see the good humored prince of the Church mocked and walked all over.
