‘Stevie and Stephen’ — 7 p.m. April 26 and 1 p.m. April 28 at St. Steven Parish in Sun Lakes (map). Parishioners created this one-act play in honor if its patron saint. Through the eyes of a young boy, audiences will learn about eh deacon and first Christian martyr. Tickets for the free-will performances are available through the parish office. (480) 895-9266.

Pokémusical — 3 and 7 p.m. April 36 at Brophy College Preparatory (map). Alumni and current students created this satire. Exchange one canned good for admission ticket. Info.

Perdido: A Pirate Parable — April 27-28 at Sacred Heart School in Prescott (map). Archived promotional video (its 2010 premiere, so ignore the dates/times in video)

A Night of Dr. Seuss — 7 p.m. April 26-27 and 2 p.m. April 28 at Bourgade Catholic High School School (map). Dr. Seuss meets Shakespeare. Flyer and ticket info.

CONCERTS

St. Joseph the Worker benefit — 7 p.m. April 27 at Xavier College Preparatory (map). Feeney/Winthrop along with other local notables will share their acoustic/folk pieces with audiences in this annual benefit concert. Other performances include jazz music. Proceeds support St. Joseph the Worker which helps clients, many of whom are homeless, overcome obstacles to job security. Info.

CD release concert — 6:30 p.m. April 28 at St. Thomas More in Glendale (map). Craig Colson released his newest album, “I Am the Way” last week at St. Jerome Parish where he works. Now he’s bringing his new and not-so-new music to Glendale’s northernmost parish. Flyer.

Jazzfest — 6 p.m. April 26 at St. Thomas the Apostle (map). Free concert with food and drink supporting the parish. Info.

3-for-1 event — 8 a.m.-noon April 27 at St. Paul Parish (map). The parish’s Women’s Guild created a one-stop-shop for families to (see flyer on page 8):

  • shred confidential documents and recycle electronic equipment
  • donate used (tax deductible) housewares and linens for refugee families arriving in the Valley through the assistance of Catholic Charities
  • Toiletries and baby supplies for Life Choices Women’s Clinic

Diamondbacks Grant — 4:30 p.m. April 27 before start of game against Rockies. Recipients include Christ Child Society.
