Mother’s Day art honored:

Recognizing that giving mom a meal off from cooking is a common way to show mom your love, Murphy’s Restaurant in Prescott teamed up with Sacred Heart Catholic School to advertise a Mother’s Day Meal. Third- and fourth-graders designed a newspaper ad for the restaurant with top winners seeing their ad in the Prescott Daily Courier May 5 and May 8. They also received a gift certificate to the restaurant.

Jose Venegas took first place, Regan Beaufeaux earned second and Duren Aviles third. Honorable mention went to Izellah Barozzo and Ashlyn Zaryczny. Look for them on “The Morning Scramble” May 9 on AZ-TV 7/Cable 13.
