World Day of Peace — 5-8 p.m.-ish Sept. 21 at Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale. Dances of universal peace, interfaith prayer and concert. Free event. Tickets required for concert. Info.

Year of Faith — 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at St. Benedict Parish in Ahwatukee (map). Afternoon of renewal led by Bishop Gerald Kicanas from Tucson who will address “Faith as a gift: how do we appreciate it, grow in it ans share it with others.” Followed by 5 p.m. Mass.

Service Project and Traveling Mass – noon-6 p.m. Sept. 23 at St. Joan of Arc Parish. Join OurGodSpot young adult ministry as it supports the Society of Maria SS. Lauretana and its annual Italian feast for the Blessed Mother. Need 5-10 volunteers in two shifts. Traveling Mass is in Italian at 3 p.m. Info.

Padre Pio Feast Day — 11 a.m. Sept. 23 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux in Scottsdale. Mass with Bishop Olmsted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Padre Pio's canonization. Ticketed lunch to follow at 1 p.m. Info.

Soccer Challenge — 12:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at St. John Bosco School in Ahwatukee (map). Hosted by Knights of Columbus. This is the local level competition for boys and girls ages 10-14.
