Inhuman: Undercover in America’s Late-Term Abortion Industry – A

With temperatures soaring, most people in the Valley are trying to stay indoors. Local pro-lifers, however, are taking to the street. The brutal heat is nothing, they say, compared to the brutality going on inside a Phoenix abortion clinic.

Anita Usher, a 40 Days for Life coordinator, hopes many will join forces with Live Action to protest at Family Planning Associates on June 6 at noon. The clinic is on Seventh Street, just off the I-10 freeway.

In May, Live Action — a pro-life media advocacy group known for its undercover videos — spoke with a doctor at the clinic who stated that she and other medical personnel would not render aid to a baby that survived a late-term abortion. The doctor, who did not realize she was being videotaped, reassured the undercover investigator that the child she planned to abort would be left to die.

Like many who watched the undercover footage, Usher was horrified.

“It’s our God-given duty to stand for those who are being dragged to death,” Usher said. “It’s our sanctification. You honor that child who is being ripped apart in the womb and you are bringing holiness into the world by this little sacrifice.”

John Jakubczyk, a local attorney and the past president of Arizona Right to Life, plans on attending the rally.

“The abortion industry and the media want people to believe that no one cares about the unborn child and her mother. The media will not cover these atrocities,” Jakubczyk said. “Our presence is necessary to tell the world that we will not stand idly by while the abortion industry continues its assault on the most innocent members of the human community.”

Among those scheduled to speak at the rally are Lila Rose of Live Action, Melanie Pritchard, executive director of the Foundation for Life and Love, and Cathi Herrod, president of the Center for Arizona Policy.
