Reconciliation/Rosary/Mass… When you’re finished, take a less than one-mile jaunt almost across the street to St. Catherine Labouré Parish. Reconciliation is available 3:30-4:30 p.m. followed by a Knights of Columbus-led pro-life rosary at 4:30 p.m. in the church prior to the 5 p.m. Mass. Or just spend some time in one of its many outdoor prayer areas. (map)

Family Fun Day — 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 21 at Sedona Airport. Join Sedona airport for its open house, aircraft display and classic car show. Also celebrate the return of the Spirit of St. Louis exhibit which features documentation of the construction of the famous aircraft. Info.

40 Days for Life Kickoff Rally — 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 21 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Tempe (map). Join pro-life advocates for a screening of “October Baby” plus an adoption and pregnancy panel. The 40 Days for Life prayer vigil at local abortion facilities officially starts Sept. 25. Info.
Reconciliation/Mass… Later, grab a late lunch, run an errand, explore downtown Tempe and then return to the parish at 3 p.m. for reconciliation followed by Mass at 5 p.m.

Our Lady of Peñafrancia — 5:0 p.m. Sept. 21 at St. Mary Parish in Chandler (map). Courtyard gathering followed by a 6 p.m. rosary and novena then 6:30 p.m. Mass in honor of Our Lady of Peñafrancia, patroness of Bicolandia in the Philippines. Reception follows in the school ramada.

Open House for transitional shelter — 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at Ozanam Manor. Join St. Vincent de Paul for an open house tour of its shelter program specifically serving homeless adults age 50 and older as well as disabled adults of any age. After the open house, check out other things to do downtown in the afternoon then head to reconciliation at a nearby parish followed by Mass. It’s offered at 4 and 5 p.m. at St. Mary’s Basilica (map) and 4 and 5:30 p.m. respectively at St. Mark (map). Or celebrate the feast of St. Matthew at the parish that bears his name. Mass is at 5 p.m. (map)
