Film about Bendectine nuns comes to Sedona Film Festival venue

“The Innocents is the filmmaking art at its best – exceptional in its acting and directing, and made more beautiful and moving by a story rooted in actual events, ArchbishopCharles J. Chaput of Philadelphia said in promotional material for “The Innocents” movie.

Depending on where you live, the film debuted sometime this summer beginning with the Sundance Film Festival. Openings are scheduled in other cities through the rest of August and in early September.

It comes to the Sedona International Film Festival venue Aug. 19-24. Set in Warsaw, December 1945, “The Innocents” shares the story of a young French Red Cross doctor who discovers several nuns in various states of pregnancy, “facing an unprecedented crisis of faith as their fiercely private world clashes with harsh realities.”
