As part of Bishop John P. Dolan’s efforts to better know the Diocese of Phoenix, one of his top priorities is to listen to parishioners, priests, deacons, religious, school leaders, students, and charitable partners over the next several months to better understand the needs and concerns of one of the fastest growing dioceses in the United States.

Bishop John Dolan held his first presbyteral council meeting today at the Diocesan Pastoral Center in downtown Phoenix.

More than 150 teens and young adults from all over the diocese gathered on a recent September night for the first in-person event hosted by Cris Joven since 2019. 

On Sept. 16, the U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona recognized 297 schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2022. Notre Dame Preparatory High School was one of four Arizona schools and one of 24 national private schools to earn this honor. 

Saint Paul’s Outreach (SPO) announced today the appointment of David Fischer as their new President. The position was previously held by Gordon DeMarais, who founded the organization in 1985.

When Most Rev. John P. Dolan became bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix, he knew he wanted to start an office to address those suffering from mental health problems, including people considering taking their own life.

On July 7, Arizona governor Doug Ducey signed HB 2853, expanding Arizona's empowerment scholarship account (ESA) program to include all school-aged children in the state.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Phoenix Diocesan Council (SVdP) is pleased to announce Shannon Clancy as its new Chief Executive Officer. A Phoenix native, Shannon is the first female CEO for the Arizona nonprofit in its 76-year history and will assume leadership on Oct. 1.
