Panel Discussion: Hope in the Darkness: Faith, Mental Health, and Suicide Prevention

Description:

Corpus Christi Catholic Church and its Ministry of Mental Health & Wellbeing invite the community to “Hope in the Darkness,” a panel discussion on faith, mental health, and suicide prevention.

The conversation will cover recognizing warning signs and risk factors, accompanying families in the aftermath of a loss, what the Church teaches about suicide and God’s mercy, and where faith and clinical care meet. An audience Q&A follows the discussion, and local and diocesan support resources will be shared.

Panelists:
Most Rev. John P. Dolan, Bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix
Mary Permoda, Director, Diocese Mental Health Ministry
Dr. Maria Manriquez, Medical Director, Banner Comprehensive Pain & Addiction Clinic (moderator)
Dr. Elizabeth Munshi, Chief of Psychiatry, Phoenix VA Medical Center

All are welcome. No registration required. If you or someone you love is in crisis, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7.
