Red Bird Ministries – Clergy – Good Shepherd Workshop

Our Clergy are first responders. They receive calls to anoint those approaching death. They are called when a death occurs to pray with the family and to bury their loved one. They are called when a family’s world is falling apart and nothing makes sense anymore. Clergy are often invited into the most intimate parts of people’s stories — parts that families do not share with the world and are often afraid to explore themselves — what we at Red Bird call their holy altar of suffering. We have a responsibility to honor these tender and holy spaces where the suffering heart of Christ is revealed to us.

Our clergy are in need of additional formation and wisdom gathered by experts in the fields of grief, psychology, trauma, peer accompaniment, and spiritual direction to provide a more holistic, integrated approach to grief ministry. Red Bird Ministries has answered the call and is ready to serve.

Every member of the clergy that attends this workshop, 1 leader training is included for their parish as well as an onboarding session with the Red Bird team for launching a flock at the parish.
