White Tanks Candlelight Vigil & Memorial Service

Andre House of Arizona invites the community to a solemn Memorial Service and Candlelight Vigil for the poor and homeless who have died in Maricopa County over the past 12 months. This annual Thanksgiving Eve tradition serves as a poignant reminder of life’s brevity and prepares us to give thanks for our many blessings.
The prayer service will include words of remembrance, the reading of each deceased person’s name, and the placing of flowers on the graves.
What: Memorial Service and Candlelight Vigil
When: Wednesday, November 26, 2025 | 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Where: White Tanks Cemetery (Maricopa County Cemetery for the Indigent), Litchfield Park
Hosted by Andre House of Hospitality, the event honors those buried at White Tanks Cemetery, the final resting place for Maricopa County’s indigent deceased. Many interred here died unidentified within our community.
For more than four decades, Andre House of Hospitality has extended the merciful heart of the Church to Phoenix’s homeless and destitute, offering food, clean clothing, refreshing showers, and the dignity of welcome. Named after St. André Bessette, CSC the humble Holy Cross brother who became a vessel of healing, hope, and hospitality to the afflicted Andre House continues his quiet miracle of presence among the least. All are welcome to join in this act of charity and prayer, and RSVP’s are requested. If you would like to join the memorial service and candlelight vigil, please RSVP on our VolunteerHub site at https://andrehouse.org/events/
