It is a mixture of undoing the harm done (both to us by others\, and we ourselves)\, and filling up what is lacking — restoring wholeness/holiness. \nWe will use stories from around the world\, and the Scriptures. The group will do the theology with the Word of the Scriptures\, and stories to get folks wondering\, asking questions\, and responding with one another for conversion and new ways of forgiving\, reconciling\, restoring holiness and repairing our world. DESCRIPTION:As part of the National Eucharistic Revival\, the Vatican Exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles is coming to Phoenix. There will be many stops on the way. See amazing displays for yourself — no need to travel to Rome! \nWhat is a Eucharistic Miracle?\nEucharistic miracles are extraordinary events or phenomena\, which manifest the Real Presence of Jesus in the consecrated bread and wine in a way that we can discern with our ordinary senses. The manifestation may be as simple as a host floating on air or as astonishing as a host becoming visible human flesh. \nBlessed Carlo Acutis\nTo always be close to Jesus; that’s my life plan. \nWith these few words\, Carlo Acutis\, the boy who died of leukemia\, outlines the distinguishing feature of his brief existence: to live with Jesus\, of Jesus\, and in Jesus. This international exhibition was created and designed by Blessed Carlo Acutis in 2002. It consists of an extensive collection of photographs and historical records representing a sampling of ancient and modern Eucharistic miracles that have taken place in various parts of the world. The collection was assembled by the Vatican to mark the Year of the Eucharist (2004-2005). After being shown at more than 500 parishes in Italy\, it is now traveling the rest of the world. \nBring the exhibit to your parish or school!\nThe exhibition brought to Phoenix is comprised of 47 different miracles spanning 1500 years\, with the most recent one having occurred in 2013! This presentation offers hope and actionable steps to bring the light of Christ to those who may have strayed. \nRyan Ayala Bio\nI have been fortunate to serve in various capacities within the Catholic Church. Currently\, I hold the position of director of campus ministry at the ASU Catholic Newman Center. Additionally\, I serve as the publisher for Clairvaux Community Life Magazine in Scottsdale. In the past\, I had the opportunity to work as the director of campus evangelization and Theology teacher at Saint Mary’s Catholic High School. My passion for education extends beyond traditional classroom settings. I have had the honor of delivering academic presentations on topics like the theological and historical significance of Ad Orientem and the impact of discussion-based learning on students’ comprehension of theological principles. I am involved in instructing courses such as Introduction to the Old Testament and Catholic Moral Responsibility through the Kino Institute at the Diocesan Pastoral Center. Before relocating to Phoenix\, I served as a campus minister at the University of Notre Dame. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Holy Cross College and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mary. SUMMARY:World Labyrinth Day Walk for Peace
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for the third World Labyrinth Society World Labyrinth Day walk for peace in the world. This year’s focus will be the change each person needs to make within in growing compassion in order to extend and build peace in the world. We will gather at 8am at the labyrinth at the Franciscan Renewal Center (The Casa) in the desert on the north end of the property at 8am. After a brief period to describe a walk and offer a moment of inspiration the walk will begin at approximately 8:15. We expect it to end no later than 9:15 and wrap it up with a sharing. We will have handheld labyrinths available to use in the nearby ramada for anyone who does not feel they can do the physical walk. Please be sure to bring water\, a hat\, and sunscreen to use as our May mornings are still quite warm. \nWe welcome all – the experienced walker or the novice.
