Monsignor James Shea, the president of the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D., was the keynote speaker at the Annual Respect Life Luncheon this past Friday (Sept. 5), held at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Phoenix. Hosted by the Office for Respect Life Ministries for the Diocese of Phoenix, over 200 leaders gathered to celebrate the sacredness and dignity of all human life from its conception to natural death. Following Bishop John Dolan’s opening remarks, Monsignor Shea’s inspiring message reminded us of our call to serve the most vulnerable, to trust and to have hope in the Lord.
