Video: Weekly interview program shows just how much ‘Catholics Matter’

If you're among the 60,000 people who tune in each Sunday for the live broadcast of the Catholic Mass, you are undoubtedly familiar with “Catholics Matter,” the weekly interview program produced by the Diocese of Phoenix. (Sunday mornings following the 9 a.m. Mass, live on AZTV-7 / Cable 13.)

In the video above, Deacon Kur Perera shares his story with show host Fr. Rob Clements (also the director of the All Saints Catholic Newman Center at Arizona State University) about his calling to the priesthood, his formation process, and what he anticipates in his final year before entering the priesthood.

Speaking of priests, the program recently featured Fr. Leo Patalinghug (aka The Cooking Priest), author of the book “Grace Before Meals: Recipes for Family Life.”

But wait! There's more. Check out other recent installments of “Catholics Matter” featuring people making a difference in our community.
