Esther: For Such a Time as This — 4 p.m. April 17-19 at Tequa Festival Marketplace in Sedona. Map. Free and $5 seating. Potters Hand Productions presented an original musical adaptation of the Book of Esther. Info.

“The Papacy of Reason” — 8 p.m. April 18 on EWTN and livestreamed online.

Parish festivals — It’s that time of year when Catholics can play and feast on parish grounds before it gets too hot and raise money for the church.

Vow of nonviolence — during all Masses April 18-19 at St. Benedict Parish in Ahwatukee. Map.
Each year, for the past three years, the St. Benedict Pax Christi Community has welcomed everyone in the parish to take the Pax Christi Vow of Nonviolence (y aquí en español). It’s a voluntary one-year commitment to imitate Jesus in practicing Gospel nonviolence.
