Celebrations will soon be underway for St. John Bosco Catholic School in Phoenix as the community celebrates 25 years. From three students throwing the ceremonial first pitch at Chase Field during the 4th Annual Catholic Night on Sept. 11, to numerous events and celebrations around campus throughout the year, the St. John Bosco community is taking the opportunity to look back on their legacy of the past quarter of a century and look ahead to the next 25 years.
“For 25 years, St. John Bosco has continually strived for excellence — not only in academics, but in all that we do: in faith, service, leadership and educating the whole child.” said Principal Jamie Bescak.
“Faith was the foundation upon which St. John Bosco was built. It has carried and strengthened this community through its first 25 years, and it will continue to guide us as we look toward the next 25 years and beyond.”
Festivities will kick off Sept. 25, with a Mass of Thanksgiving, which will include founding pastors, former principals, assistant principals, staff and teachers. The community will also be celebrating their recognition as a 2025 National Blue Ribbon School, as well as being named the first Rosary School in Arizona, having taken on the commitment to pray a decade of the Scripture Rosary daily as a school.
The entire year will take on the theme, “Rooted in Fatih, Rising in Excellence.”
“When I reflected on a theme for our 25th anniversary year, ‘Rooted in Faith, Rising in Excellence’ felt like the perfect expression of who we are and who we have always been at St. John Bosco Catholic School.” continued Bescak.
“We rise because we are rooted — and our roots in Christ give us the strength to continue growing, serving and striving for excellence in all things.”
