Finding stillness and courage in an upside-down world
It is too easy to viscerally react to or feel at the mercy of an inundating loop of news stories. A part of us wants to shut down or live stuck, disconnected, or cynical. So, here’s our question: What does it mean to be at home in our own skin and to hear the affirmation, “You are enough”?

How do we remind one another of the courage and sufficiency within us when times are tough, dark, and/or hurtful?

And how do we remember, even in the discouraging and demanding places, that we can hear and affirm the voice of courage that is alive and well inside, and with it, walk one another home?

It is so easy (and tempting) to see our vulnerability as a weakness, limitation, or flaw and not as the affirmation of a strong and resilient heart. It doesn’t matter what we expect from life, but what life expects from us. As a result, we can choose to unbridle our hearts, to be our better selves.

What does it mean to pause, find moments of stillness to reconnect with our heart? What does it mean to learn how to live and love from a soft heart—the permission to see the world, this day, through the eyes of our hearts.

At home in our own skin—connected to our heart—we allow ourselves to feel, fully and wholly, without a need to defend, justify, or explain.

We allow ourselves to receive love, compassion, and kindness without suspicion. We are free to embrace an extraordinary core of strength and courage that resides inside us, and let it spill to those around us.
