This class will offer some explanation and exploration of contemplative prayer and the impact it can have on how we live an “everyday” spiritual life.
Karl Rhaner, SJ, theologian and pastor, once wrote that the Christians of the future will be mystics – or there will be no Christianity. He believed that all of us are called to a personal encounter with God. Contemplative prayer is the way generations of Christians have encountered God. This prayer impacts the way we live, love others and heal from the difficulties we experience.
