Creation Connection Movie Night – Indigenous Ideals for Ecological Change

Nov 17, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$15.

Friday, November 17 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Doors Open: 5:30 pm
Dinner: 6:00 pm
Fee: $15

In honor of Indigenous Peoples Month, the autumn
edition of Creation Connection Movie Night features
short films that give insights into the experiences
of our indigenous brothers and sisters with their
ecological struggles. The hope is that after watching
and discussing the films, we will be motivated to
action.
Four (4) short films will be shown, illuminating
native-tribal perspectives within the United States, on
our relationship with the Earth. Nation in Transition,
is a film that looks at the Navajo Nation’s relationship
with coal and the closing of a coal-fired power plant.
Water Flows Together draws you into relationship
with the San Juan River, led by a Navajo river guide.
The Hunt is a story of using indigenous food to help
heal trauma on the White Mountain and San Carlos
Apache reservations. Our program closes with the
short film, Inspired by Nature, that we use as a visual
prayer. We have scheduled time to have small-group
conversation within the program.

Gracious thanks to the American Resilience
Project for giving us permission to show Nation
in Transition without cost. To learn more and to
