Throughout the centuries, in every place and era, believers with a special perspective on the spiritual life have stepped forward in the midst of the community of believers. Sometimes their words brought comfort and sometimes they challenged the established order, shaking church authorities to the core. In every case, they had a uniquely intimate sense of God’s presence and action in the world.

Let’s spend some time exploring their unique contribution to the faith and the implications for our own spiritual journeys.
