Initial Catechist Training

Join us for a series of eight (8) one-day seminars covering the essentials of Catholic doctrine and dogma. These sessions will provide a strong foundation for anyone seeking to grow in faith and knowledge. Catechist Formation – In addition, two (2) one-day seminars focused on methodology and pedagogy for handing on the Catholic Faith will be scheduled at a later date.

Completion of these sessions, along with the doctrine seminars, fulfills the formal training requirements for certification through the Kino Institute. Please note: This course is led by a Master Catechist from the Kino Institute. After completing the coursework, you’ll need to contact the Kino Institute directly to finalize your certification. Sessions: Fridays starting on January 16, 2026 – March 13, 2026 from 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Cost: $15.00 per session
Meals: Participants are asked to bring their own lunch and beverages
