Maximilian: Saint of Auschwitz

March 7 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Event: Maximilian: Saint of Auschwitz, the professional live production that tells the dramatic story of one man
who stood up to the evil forces of Nazism, holds a powerfully relevant message for our culture, at a time when
religious freedom and moral values are under serious attack. This one-man drama stars well-known actor Leonardo
Defilippis of Saint Luke Productions.

Details: Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 7:00pm, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Buckeye, AZ. Admission will be a
free-will offering.

About the Production: Maximilian is a riveting production, featuring the polished skills of a talented actor who
switches characters with a speed and believability that amazes audiences. The drama, which is being performed
across the country, includes technological artistry in the form of a majestic orchestral soundtrack, theatrical
lighting, and a video backdrop that sets the story in a historical yet relevant context.
Maximilian is an inspiring dramatic portrayal not to be missed. The production runs ninety minutes, and is suitable
for ages 10 and up.

About Maximilian Kolbe: The drama poignantly illustrates the life of Polish Catholic priest Maximilian Kolbe,
whose courage in the face of attacks against his faith led to his imprisonment in the Auschwitz concentration
camp during World War II. He was forced into slave labor, tortured and finally came forward to take the place of
a married man, who was condemned to death by starvation. Forty-one years after the heroic act of sacrificing his
life for another, he was canonized by St. John Paul II who called him “the saint of our difficult age.”

About the Actor: As founder and president of Saint Luke Productions, Leonardo Defilippis has for 37 years
produced numerous one-man and one-woman plays on the lives of the saints and the Gospels, and has created
feature films, television and radio/internet programming. The company’s newest live production Tolton: From
Slave to Priest, is also currently touring the country. “We live in an exciting, challenging time, and we need heroes
to show us the way we should live in an increasingly secular world,” said Defilippis. For more information about
