Understanding Dementia: A Challenging Journey

Hospice of Valley will be hosting a workshop: “Understanding Dementia: a Challenging Journey” at St. Francis Xavier Parish on Saturday, September 24 from 9am-12pm. Dr. Maribeth Gallaher, DNP, FAAN, will help guide spouses, children, and caretakers of people suffering from dementia understand the various stages of the disease, develop strategies to make and maintain meaningful connections with the person with dementia, and further value the caregiver role and explore ways to reduce stress.
