After filing your taxes April 15

Night out with the Phoenix Suns — 7 p.m. April 15 at U.S. Airways Center (map). The Show Choir from Notre Dame Preparatory will lead fans in the National Anthem. The co-ed choir was among 400 people/acts who auditioned last fall (see it here) and one of 10 who made the final cut. Related blog.
Notre Dame students, families and friends will be in the lower level curve rows 9-14 and baseline rows 18-28 as well as upper level sideline rows 2-5 cheering them on.

Michael John Poirier — 7 p.m. April 16 at Mount Claret Retreat Center (map). The well-known Catholic artist who took to the road last year offering “prayer breaks” to Catholics, returns for an evening of stories, songs and adoration. Archived article on Poirier’s outreach.

Theology on Tap — 7 p.m. April 16 at Robbie Fox’s on Mill in Tempe. Free appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks. At 7:30 p.m., Fr. John Lankeit from Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral will present the topic: Challenges of Political Correctness for Catholics. Hosted by All Saints Newman Center in Tempe. CD release concert — 7 p.m. April 22 at St. Jerome (map). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for this CD release concert by Craig Colson, director of liturgy and music, of his new album, “I Am the Way.” The concert is free, but free-will donations are accepted. Here is a video featuring the title track.
