Free organ, piano concert — 1:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Scottsdale (map). Cory Buriss, the young high school pianist parishioners have heard playing at weekend Masses will hold a special, free-will concert. Funds will offset expenses for his trip to New York where he will audition for Julliard. Details.

Tells the story of a naïve Russian immigrant, who just arrived in the U.S. with her young son and they struggle to make a life for themselves, re-unite with her husband and preserve their culture. Seton coached in local Sports Hall of Fame — 11 a.m. Feb. 9 at Chandler Center for the Arts. Jerry Mullin, a Mesa Catholic and varsity softball coach for Seton Catholic Preparatory High School in Chandler, will be inducted into the city’s Sports Hall of Fame.
