Catholic Education Arizona, the largest Catholic School Tuition Organization (STO) in Arizona, launched a new division to meet unmet student scholarship need. The new Changing Lives division will generate donations to ensure access to Catholic education for future generations.

Recently, more than 300 supporters joined FSL for a celebration of independence as the Hope in Motion event returned after a three-year hiatus, raising over $80,000 to support the resources and programming that the organization provides for clients and their caregivers.

It is Saturday morning, the solemnity of the Annunciation, and time for the Lenten retreat to begin. Attendees have gathered in the Spirituality Center of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Mesa, animatedly greeting each other and catching up on each other’s lives. The Monsignor at the front of the room makes sweeping hand gestures to indicate his readiness to begin the retreat presentation. He uses no voice because no voice is necessary — most of the retreat participants are deaf, and American Sign Language (ASL) is their primary mode of communication.

Priests from throughout the Diocese of Phoenix flocked to Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral for the annual Chrism Mass with Bishop John P. Dolan presiding. The annual Mass draws a crowd to witness the bishop blessing the oils that will be used throughout the year in sacramental celebrations such as Baptism, Confirmation, Anointing of the Sick and Holy Orders.
